Our stay at Glyn Ceiriog was absolutely fantastic. Mai was a warm and welcoming host and the barn itself was done to outstanding specifications. We were lucky enough to have a tremendous amount of snow whilst we were up there (which our 2-year-old and 6-year old-loved) They also loved the games rooms that was fully stocked and kept them entertained (when not throwing snowballs at each other!) The Barn was fanatically laid out with the open-planned upstairs and we had a lovely time at Glyn Ceiriog. We would definitely recommend
A stunning property in a picturesque area. Extremely good value for money. Definitely would return.
A lovely weekend in such a beautiful location. Wonderful accommodation with lovely extra touches to make us feel welcome. The games area is a fantastic addition too. Can't wait to come back!
We've just spent a wonderful ten days over Christmas and have absolutely loved both the location and accommodation. There are so many little touches that make the barn a very special and spacious place to stay. The Christmas decorations were really creative and tasteful and helped make this our best Christmas yet. We would love to come back and try a summer break here in the future and can't speak highly enough of Cefn Mawr!
A lovely weekend in a glorious location, lovely touches and beautifully appointed. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommended.
A lovely cottage in a lovely valley. A great base to cycle and walk although the hills were a bit challenging for our two wheels! Found the local pub really friendly (The Oak) with good food and beers. Hope to come back sometime with the rest of the family.
A truly splendid location and superb accommodation! The barn conversion is excellent and more than enough for our needs. The kids throughly enjoyed the games room and surrounding area - especially the attention of Delilah!! Thank you for a lovely week and particularly organising such great weather. We will be back!
Fantastic week - sunny October, beautiful views, lovely house. Thank you Mai and Family
It was amazing and it had so many fun things to do. The pets were adorable and the chickens' eggs were delicious. Thank you.
What a lovely cottage with breathtaking views! We enjoyed bringing our family to Wales to show them some family roots. It was a nice break to unwind from the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much for the milk, tea and hot chocolate on the first rainy day to help us get over the jet lag! The children also enjoyed your animals.
We had a wonderful time here – many thanks for your extremely comfortable cottage. It is great in itself and also a superb base for exploring some of the area. The views and walks and the surrounding countryside have been most enjoyable. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
We really enjoyed our stay at your cottage. The surroundings and view is excellent. Wales is a great place for your holidays and I’ve enjoyed the nature and lovely people.
We enjoyed the tranquillity of the Ceiriog Valley and seeing the spring flowers at their best. The location is both accessible and secluded. Take time to walk in the Valley itself - various mapped paths. Llangollen - Plas Mawr, Corn Mill.
We had a fantastic holiday staying at this lovely cottage. Set in gorgeous grounds and in the picturesque Glyn Ceiriog, it was perfect. Very welcoming with the beautiful flowers left on the table. Our 5 year old son loved it too. Thank you.
Stunning location, beautiful accommodation, friendly owners and great value for money. One of the nicest self catering cottages we've stayed in. We'll be visiting again.
We were visiting my family for Christmas, and the cottage provided our home from home. Warm, cosy, friendly owners, and a fantastic view (which was a plus!), with immediate access to the hills for walking, mountain biking and riding. A fantastic location for getting away from it all. The Mulberry Inn in Llwynmawr provided us with a fantastic Christmas meal, the Hand Inn, Llanarmon is also to be recommended. Oswestry is a typical little market town, with an M&S for buying those super tasty ready-made foods for putting in the oven so nobody has to cook! The countryside is beautiful, either down in the green green valleys or up on the wilder hill tops. Fantastic for walkers, riders or mountain bikers, also motorbikers! The local information provided, and the simple Welsh phrases were super!
Enjoyed visiting local villages and the smallest cathedral in the UK. Weather was beautiful, which always helps. Cottage was lovely. Local villages offering some great places to eat and visit. Great for walkers with beautiful scenery. Trout farm was also very interesting.
